HELGA SERMAT has been involved in visual arts for over 40 years. After completing her studies in humanities and fine arts, she went on to work as a costume & prop maker, illustrator and graphic designer. Helga was a co-founder of Urban Source Alternative Art Materials in Vancouver, B.C. where she taught workshops for adults and children.
Helga moved to Hemmingford in 2007, where she pursues her passion for horses, designs the lay-out for Info Hemmingford and maintains an active studio practice with a focus on abstract painting.
This fall Helga will be offering the following workshops: THE MAGIC OF COLOUR, ACRYLIC PAINTING and SLOW STITCHING.
Helga is represented by la Galerie St-Laurent in Ottawa.
