This 3 session workshop is aimed at people who have some experience painting and/or who have already taken a workshop with me in the past. (painting, mixed media or colour).
We will revisit the basics of painting with acrylics and then delve deeper into working with paint application, layers, glazes, mark making, and sanding. We will explore different ways of creating edges between areas and shapes while further developing our sense of composition and colour.
Each session will begin with exercises to help us let go, lighten up, with an emphasis on play and experimentation.
The sessions are 3 hours long (with a break) so there will be plenty of time to work on your pieces after we have finished our “exercises”! Please feel free to bring your “in progress” works to further develop in class.
If you are a beginner, The Magic of Colour is perfectly suitable for people with little to no painting experience.

$150 + $20 for materials ($10 if you bring your own paints)
20-30 minute break – Bring your lunch!
